I've visited this place a few times before, and I'm pleased to see they've reorganized their menu with a more focused selection and some new additions. I love the handmade shao mai, which have a generous filling and thin wrapping dough. The shrimp ones are slightly salty but have great overall flavors. The beef noodle soup was decent. I also appreciate that everyone in the kitchen wears hair nets, ensuring a very clean environment. Our waiters were very friendly, providing excellent service.

After running an errand in Sawtelle, me and my friends wanted to try this place on a whim since we parked across the street! At first glance, it's a very casual establishment. There is a kiosk you can also order from near the front but we decided to dine in. We were seated immediately and got to ordering pretty quickly. I was a little bummed because they weren't offering the braised pork or sparerib noodles which I had seen through the pictures on Yelp. Although, I think it was just improper timing since they had just recently changed their menu. Me and my group decided to share the shao mai, so we got the cucumber and shrimp and the mushroom and truffle. Initially, I was a little concerned because one of my friends can't handle spice but they were able to take the chili oil out. After some deliberation, I decided on the beef noodle and my partner got the crystal noodle with beef. I thought every dish was decent but I think it lacked the flavor complexity that I normally enjoy in this type of cuisine. I would have liked a deeper beef flavor in the broth and more punch from the aromatics. The spice level was also pretty mild but nothing that can't be fixed with some chili. The dumplings were also good but not very memorable without heaping amounts of soy sauce and vinegar. Regardless, it was a good quick meal and my entire party was stuffed. I sincerely hope they bring back the braised pork to this location so I can try it!

I don't know why I've put on trying this spot for awhile, even though we go to Sawtelle often. But I finally got to try it and now I want to go more often. Staff was super helpful in explaining the menu and different types of noodles. I ordered one of their more popular noodle dishes, but we were also intrigued about the wood ear mushrooms dish. Pairing it with the hot sauce was SO yummy. The restaurant is very clean and spacious inside. The only slightly downside is parking, which in general isn't great in this area to begin with. They have subterranean parking in the building, but do not validate. I had issues getting out of the garage, but it was resolved and luckily no one was behind me. I would probably try and park elsewhere in the future.

Stop by for dinner before heading out of city. service was great, however the taste was less satisfied especially the noodle soup. Appetizers were good, medley was very savory and crispy chicken had a little bit spicy kicking into it. We also ordered ShaoMai, they are different but may be authentic, we have never had this type before. We tried all three of the flavor, mushroom is the best. Well, finally it's the noodle, we came here because of that. Maybe expectation was too high, the soup had less taste so does the meat, noodle was very good, but put them together it wasn't rich flavored as expected (ordered chicken, rib, pork and beef noodles).
